A New Fashion Accessory

I just got a new one this morning – A FRICKEN CAST!

There was a 20 minute snow squall yesterday which laid down a tiny blanket of satan snow, which nicely covered an invisible 2 foot square patch of satan ice on the driveway.

I was putting some broken pieces of wood behind the shed, that the moron snowplow driver had smashed on our boulevard, and I slipped and fell and broke my right wrist! I have no patience for being sick or injured. And I’m right-handed, so all posts for the next 6 weeks will be short, but they always are so that won’t change. What will change is figuring out how to do things with one hand, like applying deodorant on the left armpit. Horrible.

  1. I feel for you! Broke the same wrist last year. I had a red cast with black racing stipes. 🙂

  2. I am predicting the the undeoderized armpit will behave for the duration. What the ‘f..k!!! Merry Christmas from Satan? Satan is the anti Santa who brings totally unwanted things. He always brought me garter belts and boring, brown rubber boots. But never a glamorous cast. Oh…I hope you are as comfortable as possible. Did you call an ambulance? Can you talk on the phone with your left ear? Oh my…kisses and quotes from poets…written in magic marker on the cast…and a candy cane…could be done…with handy friends…

  3. It really is quite a challenge learning to do things with the “wrong” hand. Sorry to hear of your mishap. I guess your partner in crime will have to “up his game” haha.

  4. Fortunately you don’t need deodorant cuz you smell so nice

  5. Damn woman, you clearly need a handler!

What colour is your cast?! If you got a red cast, you could wrap white tape around it so it looks like a candy cane?

Would you like a knitting needle or two for some good scratching?

  6. Sorry to hear Heather! Not fun at any time, but especially not fun right before Christmas!! Hope you recover quickly.
