Maybe I’m the most gullible person on the face of the Earth, but I like the idea of being able to solve crimes by using this. Sure the possibility of it being used for “other reasons” exists and is probably likely to happen. But I think we’re already at the point where we should have no reasonable expectation of privacy in public. There are already billions of cell phone cameras in public hands, millions of dash board cams and building security cams, and of course google street view cams. If this will lead to a reduction in unsolved crimes, I think that’s a good thing. If this technology had existed decades ago, the disappearance of one of my family members wouldn’t remain unsolved all these years later.
